Collin Morikawa earned $1,116,000 for winning the inaugural Workday Charity Open on Sunday.

He earned almost as much for one bettor.

The Rush Street Interactive-owned platform said one Illinois bettor made four bets on Morikawa that resulted in more than $900,000 in winnings. Morikawa won on the third playoff hole against Justin Thomas on Sunday, which also vaulted him to a career-high No. 13 in the official world golf rankings.

The four bets:

--$4,000 on Morikawa at 5000 to lead after Round 1: won $204,000

--$28,025 bet on Morikawa (750) to finish Top 5: won $238,217

--$5,715 bet on Morikawa (Enhanced 3500) to win the event: won $205,704

--$10,000 bet on Morikawa (2800) to win the event: won $290,000

The bettor won more than $1 million in total over the weekend.

"This is the biggest payout ever at the newly launched in Illinois and in fact at all sportsbooks including Pennsylvania, Indiana and Colorado," Rush Street Interactive COO Richard Schwartz said.

The Workday Charity Open was responsible for 29 percent of all bets made at the sportsbook on Sunday.
