Stock investors lose heart

Seoul News.Net
Saturday 11th July, 2009

Investors have found it difficult to remain upbeat after stocks on Friday hit their longest losing streak since the market's rally began in early March.

With unrelenting worries over the economy, poor reports on unemployment, consumer confidence and falling commodity prices, many investors have left the stock market.

Stocks slid around during the week, failing to hold on to previous gains.

The Dow Jones Industrials and the Standard & Poor's 500 index have now fallen four straight weeks.

Next week, investors will be focused on reports, and especially on forecasts for the remainder of the year
